09 15 2012 Andrew's first taste of real food

My sister in law Marcie graduated with her BA so we went to her graduation.  Congrats Marcie!!
Afterwards we went out to eat and I gave Andrew a little bit of potato.  He was not a fan.  I guess I should go get the nasty bland stuff.

09 03 2012 Dance Dance Baby

Justin is our dancer.  Check out his moves.

4 28 2012 Andrew is 4 months

Andrew is 4 months.  Wow how the time goes by.  He had his dr apt on the 30th.
Andrew is 26.5" long, 15.8lbs.  I didn't get the percentile but he is on the same line as last time which was in the 90th for height.  He is one long fella.  He rolls over from his tummy to his back and loves to suck on his toes.  What else would you do with feet that were that big.  He also has started sleeping through the night.  Well most nights.  He is a happy little guy except at night.

8 24 2012 Giants vs Braves

Mom & Dad gave Dennis and Jeremy Giant vs Braves game tickets.  They watched the kids and we went and played.  We had a blast.  This was Andrew's first game.  He was not a fan of the drive.  The girls jumped out in front so we could get Andrew out and stop screaming while the boys parked the car.  I think this would be a great gift for this Christmas (hint, hint Mom).  Of course the Braves would lose the game we are there.  The next two games against the Giants they won.

He took a short nap.  But then woke up and was happy.
Of course, Aunt Marcie and Uncle Jeremy bought Andrew a Giants shirt.
Dennis is a Braves fan and none of our kids ended up with a Braves outfit.  We have Padres, Dodgers, and Giants.  I think we will need to work on this.

08 23 2012

I thought this was funny.  Daniel thinks he's a pro now that he has played t-ball.  The boys were out playing tball and there was a little bit of mud.  Daniel needed some bases so I told him to use some small rugs we have.  This is where he placed them.  Not in the correct spots but by the mud so he won't slide.
So I do not have a green thumb.  I am ok getting cut flowers because I know it is not me killing them.  We have tried growing a pineapple twice and neither have survive.  But since Daniel loves to try and grow things we tried and avocado seed.  And it grew!! Yay for me.

08 16 2012 Vaccuuming

For some reason my kids love to vaccuum.

08 12-15 2012 Hospital Time

So we have had a little excitement in our family.  So Andrew had a little spot under his diaper.  It started a small and we were watching.  It was getting a little bigger and he had a fever.  My dad suggested that we take him into urgent care so off we went.  It was an infected abscess.  They drained it (Dennis held him while I cried) and gave him some antibiotics.  His fever broke and he was one happy little baby.  We had to take him back in the next day for them to check him and we were for sure he was getting better.  But the white blood count doubled.  The doctor sent him to the hospital to get different antibiotics through and IV.  What an emotional day.  I was grateful for the doctor (not Andrew's pediatrician) being so understanding and caring as he tried to calm my nerves.  We were the only child in the hospital so pediatrics was closed.  We were on the floor with everyone else with one ped's nurse.  I was grateful when the next day we were moved to peds because the hospital needed our room.  Talk about quiet.  There ended up being 2 of us on 1 floor.  Andrew was a trooper.  He did not act sick at all.  He was a happy boy.  3 days later we were finally released.  I am grateful for modern day medication and wonderful people who are willing to take care of my baby.  It did end up being MRSA which only responds to specific antibiotics.

There were wonderful ladys who spend time making little stuffed dolls for the ped's patients.  We ended up with 3 of them.
 Room with a view.

08 05 2012 Can you say jealousy

Justin is a little jealous of the baby.  He plays with all the toys and wants to be on the lap of the person Andrew is on.  Justin was pretty proud of himself.  What I think is funny, as a baby Justin did not like the exersauser and now I can't keep him out of it.

08 04 2012 Another baseball game

Nana & Gramps brought some delicious donuts.  This kept Justin with us instead of trying to get on the field.
He really is paying attention.  NOT

08 01 2012 Daniel's first day of school

Daniel started Kindergarten.  We are so excited.  I had a few tears in my eyes.  I can't believe he is old enough.
On the first day of pre-school, we took a picture in front of the same garage and he was a little shorter then the line he has now past.  I didn't realized how much he has grown.
We are so lucky to get Daniel in the school he got into.  Daniel goes to River Oaks Charter School.  This school was done by lottery and I was for sure he would not get in and he did.  Yay!!  I was so excited and know that the 20 min drive will be worth it.

Ms Jimenez was meeting each of the kids and gave the kids a little poem (that made me teary eyed) to give to all the parents.  Daniel went straight for the basket instead of shaking his teachers hand.

The school focuses on college, so each class has a college name.  Daniel's class is University of Texas El Paso.  Every Friday if they wear a college shirt they do not have to wear their uniforms.  We got Daniel a USD shirt (thanks Michelle for your help), the college Dennis went to.  Daniel continually asks me when he will be getting a UTEP shirt.  I said don't you want to wear daddy's college shirt and he said that he needed a UTEP shirt so everyone knew what class he is from.

07 31 2012 Daniel

Daniel loves to see how things work.  The toy phone was not working (the battery died) and Daniel wanted to see way and he was going to fix it.  This kept him busy for quite a while.

07 30 2012 Gracie and Mikey came to visit

Aunt Suzi, Grace and Mikey came to visit Nana and Gramps.  But of course they really wanted to see the baby.  Grace was happy to hold Andrew.

 The group.
We sure miss having them around to play with.

07 28 2012 Daniel's 3rd tball game

My brother Jeremy and his kids came down to watch Daniel play.  Jeremy tooks some good picts.

Daniel being so interested in playing
Daniel, I think, stressed Dennis out more then anything.  I'm not to sure baseball will be Daniels thing.

So after 3 weeks of tball they switch to coach pitch.  I know this picture looks like a miss but he really did hit this ball.

07 27 2012 Andrew is 3 months

07 22 2012 Happy Birthday Betty

Daniel has been into birthdays (probably because we have 5 in 6 weeks).  So he has been asking Nana when Betty's birthday was.  And he continued to ask until she said Sunday.  So we had to go get her a birthday cake (canned dog food with free dog treats from Petsmart) and get her a birthday present.

He made us a real cake and decorated it.
I would say Justin helped but I don't think sticking his fingers in the cake so he  could taste it is really helping.
Daniel wrapped and unwrapped Betty's gift.  A bag of treats and a collar.
 The birthday girl.
