07 01 2011 Saving the Ducks

I had some neighbors trying to save some ducklings. They said the mama duck and two ducks got out of the storm drain and took off but their were still four down their. They were not able to get them out so they left the grate off and gave up. Later I saw some kids hanger around them and went out to see what was going on and their were the ducklings. After about an hour, we rescued 3 out of the 4 ducks. Mama duck was down the way at another storm drain. The mama duck was happy to see her babies but she had lost the other two down the other storm drain. I was able to save one of them. I hope all the babies ended up being safe.

The kids loved seeing the ducklings and Daniel was happy to reunite them.
