06 11 2011 Finishing up Daniels Birthday

Daniel wanted a train cake this year. And my thoughts were easy in the beginning but the closer I got the more I wanted to do a 3d cake. I think Thomas turned out pretty good. This is the 2nd attempt though. The first cake was not done inside. Being short on time, I just wanted to cry. It was probably a good thing no one was home because I would have cried. Daniel kept telling me he wanted "that train cake". You know, the yucky one. But with the advice from my mother-in-law with how to cool the cake quickly it all worked out. It took about 2.5-3hrs to decorate. I think it looks awesome (just don't look closely). Daniel was so excited it was Thomas. I asked him if he wanted a 4 on the cake (because he was turning 4) and he told me no because Thomas has a 1. And yes I took lots of pictures of the cake because I knew it wouldn't last long. It was quite tasty.

We had my brother's family come over to celebrate with us.

Justin may be a mess (this was the beginning of the mess) but managed not to get it on his clothes. Way to go Justin.

What? A bubble machine for my bike!! Awesome.

Not just any bike but a new bike!!

Daniel woke up the next morning, looked outside and said "My new bike is still there!!" Funny. I said "Was is suppose to be gone. Was it going to drive off by itself." He said "No, a person has to move the bike." I just love how he processes things now.

06 10 2011 Dr Apt

Just a quick note about the Dr.s so I don't forget.
Both boys had drs appointments.

Justin is 22lbs and 32" long. A healthy little boy. He cried with the shots but quickly stopped. We also had to get blood work done for him and he didn't make a sound. What a good boy.

Daniel did awesome if you compare it to his appointment 6months ago. Daniel hates going to the doctors. Last time he would not let the doctor touch him. They could not do the blood pressure test, hearing test, and he wouldn't even try the hearing test. I did prep him this time and he did everything wonderfully. With no problems. What a difference. He did great until it was shot time and when they brought out the needles he broke down. But I was still impressed with the improvement. Daniel is 42 1/8" tall and 42lbs.

06 09 2011 Happy Birthday Daniel

Daniel turned 4 today. I can't believe it has already been 4 years.
Daniel loves - Trains. Anything trains he loves. I would say addicted to trains
-Loves to read. Especially his Thomas books.
-Loves to practice writing his name
-Favorite songs- I love to see the temple, Wiseman and Foolishmand, Book of Mormon stories, and a new train song his Aunt Suzi sings
-Loves to be outside in the mud and go for bike rides.
He is just growing up so fast.

Daniel woke up to a ton of ballons in his room. He just kept running through them.Had our new traditional cupcake for breakfast.

His new outfit that I love the kids to get but they really can care less.

And he loved his new Thomas book.We picked up his cousin JD and then off to the Railroad Museum. He is using his binoculars to find the place.Hmm. What's this under the train? We spent most of our time at the train table. Really!! We have trains at home. But we don't have the turn table or the storage shed.

We dropped off JD and went home. We made homemade pizza for dinner.Yes, more cupcakes with Daddy. We will have the real cake on Saturday. His favorite present of the night, a camera from Nana and Gramps. Next time, need to have the correct size batteries. All tuckered out.

06 06 2011 Jeni's Birthday

Happy Birthday to Me. I had a nice and relaxing day. It was filled with DMV (first thing in morning) and naptime. We had Chinese for dinner and a cake that Daniel was not happy there was decorations you could not eat on it.

This was my present from Daniel.

Justin loves playing with Daniel. He also loves to climb on and under everything.

I thought this was funny. Gramps have given Justin his bottle and this is what I had found when I was done putting Daniel to bed. He was just laying there on Gramps lap. Half on and half over the side of the chair. Too cute.

06 04 2011 First Haircut

I like to get the boys first haircut around their first birthday. I'm a few weeks late but we finally did it. Poor Justin's hair was long and it flew high in the sky. There was not much we could do. No, gel did not help. So here are a few before pictures.

During: He did really good. Not one tear. He sat pretty good in the begining but by the end he was a little tired of sitting.

After: I just can't believe my little baby is a toddler. He looks so different with short hair. Now I will spike it because that is the way his hair goes. But it will look like I did it on purpose.

06 03 2011 He's Official

Look who's officially a laywer. Dennis was sworn in yesterday. We have had a rough road since Dennis graduated. He passed the bar but his moral character was taking forever. Come to find out it's a big deal when an employer doesn't send in his info. But he had a wonderful firm give him a job as a law clerk while we wait. This firm is all over the country. We were unsure where we would end up. A few open places were in Florida, Chicago, and Indianapolis. When we were told there was a Northern California position open, with in two weeks of everything some how was approved. What a blessing. We are so excited to stay close to home.
Way to go Hon!! We are proud.

I was so grateful my parents were there. Daniel would not be quiet or sit still and it was Justin's naptime. My parents willingly tooks the kids so I could watch. But it was nice that one of the judges made comments that it was wonderful having the kids there and not to take them out at the first sounds they make.

Way to go!!

Time to celebrate at Bucco di Beppo. Delicious!!

Where did Justin go?

05 28 2011 Movie Picts

Justin just couldn't decide which movie to watch. He wanted all of them.

05 19 2011 Guess Who's 30

Nope not me. That was last year. Dennis turned 30 this year. We are officially not in the young crowd. Daniel was so excited to help decorate the cake. All the sprinkles and candles were in one area. I helped with the candles so they were spead out a little. Happy Birthday Dennis!!
