Week with Grace and Mikey

So this is a long post with lots of pictures. We were

lucky enough to be here the week Mom and Dad had

Josh and Suzi's kids. I love it when Daniel spends time

with cousins. Now having 4 kids 4yrs and under seemed

a bit crazy at times. I'm not quite sure how my parents

managed. But it was overall quite fun.

The kids love to paint and we had a few large boxes

to paint. I cut holes in them so they would have windows.

This was Daniel's train and he was not a fan of

sharing his train. Gramps finally threw it away the

other day and it broke Daniel's heart. Tears and all.

Mama Grace took care of Daniel when he thought

he needed a band aid. She had gotten one and had

it on before I got back with one.

Mikey Grove Zoo

Can I say this is no San Diego Zoo. It was tiny but

just big enough for 4 small kids and 1 big kid.
We really like the bird area. We got to feed the birds

and they land on you. Scared me at first (it was unexpected)

but pretty cool.

Lunch time at the park.

Tyler was a big help this day. He pretty much

took care of Justin when needed for me and took

the kids down the slides when they first were scared

too. Thanks Tyler.

The kids spent a lot of time out in the pool.

When we had taken a look outside the kids

had rearranged everything to set up their kitchen.

The kids helped Nana weed (if you could call it that).

Grace had picked some flowers and replanted them.

There's not much better then having snacks outside.

Now Daniel always wants the table outside.

Movie time. We had a few movie nights with blankets

and popcorn. I thought it was funny when Grace and

Mikey were laying on the table. Daniel decided to climb

in Justin's car seat. Not sure why but he thought it was funny.

I love this picture. Mikey had to have Justin

sit with him. Too cute.

Mama Grace liked helping with Justin.

She liked to give him his pacifier even when

he didn't want it. It was fun to watch her.

Mikey picked up Justin from the couch and was

carrying him. Scary but he didn't drop him.

He just wanted to hold him. At least he didn't

take him off the bed (Daniel said he went "WEE")

and carry him by his shirt. Daniel did this earlier

in the week.

We had a fun but tiring week. Lots of fun.

07 17 2010 Swimming

I've wanting to take Daniel swimming this summer

so we asked Brian if we could use his pool. Dad and

Mom hosted a BBQ at Brian's house and invited the

family. We had a blast. Daniel loves to swim and be

around cousins.

Great Grandma and Pop showed up to hang out

with the gang.
And it was Justin's first time in the pool. I was
surprised he did not cry one bit. Daniel's first time
he screamed. Justin didn't really seem to enjoy it
but he didn't hate it.

07 16 2010

So Daniel spent a week at Grandma's house and we

pick him up with painted toe nails. I guess Daniel

was begging for it because his Grandma was doing

her toenails. We knew they were done (didn't make

Dennis too happy) but I thought they would have been

taken off by the time he came home. When I talked to

Daniel he said "Daddy not happy" We took it off that

night because Uncle Brian came over.

One of the first things Daniel did when we got

back was to head outside for some blackberries.

Then that evening we headed off to the Ports game.

Justin's first Ballgame. We didn't make it to the

end but we still had fun.

07 11 2010 All Smiles

Justin is not the happiest baby but he loves being

outside. We head outside about 6pm almost every

night. He is such a cutie and even cuter when he

smiles. I just love those dimples.

Grandma Evans, let me know if you want different

07 09 2010 6yrs Together

So Dennis has been stuck with me for 6yrs. Lucky him!!

We have had a wonderful six years. In the last 6yrs Dennis

has graduated from 2 schools, has gotten 3 degrees and

we had 2 kids. Its been wonderful and am looking forward

toward the rest of our lives.

I love you Dennis.

For our anniversary, Dennis made dinner and we had a

picnic at a nice park. It was a nice date night for us.

Grandma watched both boys for us. Thanks Mom C.

07 09 2010 Toy Story 3

Daniel loves Toy Story so we took him to see

Toy Story 3. It was a bit more scarier then I

would have liked for him. He ended up crying at

the end. But this is not unusual since he cries

when watching any new movie whether its scary, sad

or happy. But if you were to ask him if he liked the

movie he would say yes.

Grandma's are too much fun. Grandma was making

cards and cutting out circles on a strip of paper and

then they put that strip on Daniel. Daniel thought it

was too funny and laughed and laughed.

07 04 2010 July 4th

We were lucky to have Dennis come and join us

for the 4th of July weekend. Daniel was so excited

to see his Daddy again.

For the 4th in Stockton fireworks were legal this year.

Although, they had to stay on the ground. All the kids

loved it and were sad to see them end.

The sparklers scare me a little but no one got

burned. Daniel loved it and wanted more.

07 02 2010 Daniel, Mom & Dad Time

So we decided to have some Daniel time

without Justin. We went to a park close by and

Daniel loved it. I also loved that he got his

Daddy to go down the slide several times.

We really need to do this more often.

07 01 2010 What treadmills are really for.

So the pictures do not do justice to the fun

Daniel had with the treadmill. It was running

and Daniel would sit on it and go for a ride.

He had a blast.
