08 21 2009 Dancing in the Rain

So it actually rained in San Diego. Can you believe it.

Daniel had a blast. The boy who doesn't like showers

loves the rain. Go figure. It only rained for about 5min

but we went outside to enjoy it.

08 17 2009 FHE Bonfire

A group of from our ward got together to have a bonfire

at Mission Beach. It was fun. We enjoyed talking and

eating some yummy treats. Daniel had a blast. One of the

guys went to the water and found a small crab to show the

kids. Daniel just loved it. He held it and when it would

fall he would try to pick it up. Poor crab. But he love

every minute of it.

Not my favorite thing.
Tanner is a little older then Daniel. They just
hit it off. They usually don't really notice each other
but tonight they did. They jumped and fell and
even wrestled. They had a blast together.

08 17 2009 San Diego Zoo

So this is for all the people who say I'm not in
enough of the pictures. I prefer not to be in them.
We are back at the Zoo. These were a couple of the
Daniels favorite areas.

08 14 2009 Tide Pools

So feeling like we have been trapped in the house

because of potty training we decided to head out

for the morning. We went to some tide pool. The only

problem is that it was high tide. Low tide is like at 1am.

But it was still nice.

Daniel had gotten in trouble. Too many "no". I didn't

like the edges. Daniel kept wanting to get close.

Daniels favorite part was playing in the dirt.

If the ground was had a downward slope Daniel

would sit down and call it his slide.

Very fun and no accidents, yeah!! We

will definitely go back in the winter when

low tide is at a good time for us.

Daniel loves the camera as long as its on his terms.

08 13 2009 Potty Training

So we have been trying to potty train Daniel for

a month or so. He is doing well. He tells us when he

needs to go potty and does go pee but we can not get

him to go in the toilet. Our new attempt is to show him

that his favorite stuffed animal could do it. We put Daniels

white underwear on him. Daniel took them off. You can't

really tell but that is what he is doing in the first pict. Then

we all helped Crusher push and he pooped chocolate chips

and coca puffs. We then put the fun underwear on him.

Daniel was not happy with this at all. Crusher is not suppose

to wear his underwear. But I was hoping to show Daniel what

to do. Daniel still has not pooped in the toilet but I guess

we will keep trying. Especially since we don't have anymore

diapers.

Any suggestions would help.

The Past Week

Padres vs Braves

GO BRAVES!!

What fun we had. The Braves won 6-2.

We were lucky to be in the shade during the whole

game. No burns today.

Daniels favorite part was riding the tram to and from

the game. He kept asking for one more at every stop

we made.

What does Daniel do at the games. Read of course.

Who really wants to watch the game. Over all he

was really good.

8-5-2009

After the game we went to McDonalds for some ice cream

cones. Daniel loved it.

Wayne and Fam came into town on Tuesday. What fun we

had. We did a lot of swimming at our clubhouse.

This day we went to La Jolla Shores. It was nice. A

bit chilly at first but it warmed up nicely. Daniel has started

getting his own water in the pail. Which means we don't

have to get up and get it. Lazy, I know. Dennis also took

Tyler out into some waves. He had a blast.

Dennis just loves taking on the kids with our light sabers.

I think the kids just like beating up on Uncle Dennis.

The next day we went to the Temple to walk around.

It was closed for cleaning but part of the grounds were
open. Unfortunately they are doing ground work as well

so the flower beds were missing some flowers. But it was

still beautiful.

Off to Point Loma's Light House. The views around

the light house were so beautiful. Daniel loved seeing

all the boats. The light house was fun and crowded. It

is a lot smaller then I thought it would be.

We also hit a few exhibits while we were there.

I liked the huge gun shell at this Military History

Exhibit. Daniel was not a fan of being so high.

Then home for a late lunch and of course more swimming.

Daniel thought it was funny to lay on the lounge chairs.

Daniel just loves the pool. When he saw the big

boys jumping off the diving board he wanted a piece of

that action. He loved it. He jumps we pull him up and he

kicks over to the wall and then says "Again!!" He could do

it all day. He is our little fish.

07 31 2009 La Jolla Beach

So this is one of our favorite places. We went out into the

water. Daniel was not too happy because he had to leave

his Nemo bucket. He kept looking for the fish. His happiest

place was sitting by the water digging a hole. Oh, and the already

made hole by our area. He could have stayed all day.

07 27 2009 Disneyland

I'm bummed I didn't take more pictures. But

we met up with some friends from Arizona. It was

fun to get together with our growing families. I enjoyed

watching their little girl who is two months older then

Daniel. I can't wait to meet up again. Thanks

Tessy and Scott.

07 25 2009 Trains and more swimming

Grandpa has a train he was given as a child. Daniel

saw it and fell in love with it. He wanted to play

with it all day. Its a cute little train.

Grandma and Grandpa had a ward activity. It was

swimming, food and games. Daniel saw the ball and gloves

and wanted to play. Daniel just loved the swimming.

Dennis didn't really want to get into the pool but he was a

good sport.

07 24 2009 Swimming

So we headed to Dennis' Mom's for the weekend.

They had Alan's kids and I like to get together with

them so Daniel knows his cousins. This was the first

swimming adventure of the summer. I really didn't think

Daniel would like it. He hates getting his head wet. But

boy was I wrong. He was ready to be done after a few

minutes but then we mentioned the water slide. He was

in heaven. After that he was not ready to get out any

time soon.
