01 16 2009 Childrens Pool

After a week of being home, for a time out we
went to the Children's Pool to see the seals.
It was so beautiful. Daniel liked the water
hitting the wall more then watching the seals.

Starting Off the Year Right

So I think we started off the year right.
Nana gave Daniel a lacing toy. Daniel just
loves it. He sat at this point for 30-45min working
on it. Now he carries it around the house. Thanks
Nana. He also at some point got a hold of the
color pencils and decided to use it as his canvas.
Lucky for him I have no clue when he did it.

It's Air Show time. We go every year. This is
the time we celebrate Christmas with Dennis'
family. We were really excited this year because
we thought Daniel would enjoy all the planes.
And we were right. He loved it. He also loved
the slide. Dennis was not moving fast enough, so
he would wiggle out of Dennis' arms to go down.
01-10&11-2009
We thought we would hit up Disneyland. No
we have not made it home quite yet. We hit
as many kids rides before Daniel crashed. It
was a fun trip.

Here is Daniel and the unusual things he plays
with. He just loves the vacuum. I hope this
carries on. He loves boxes and climbing in and
out of them. Even the small ones. My dad has
a guitar stand that Daniel loved to play with
the whole time we were there. Gramps took
the guitar away. I don't blame him. And
Daniel loves keys. He was in heaven when my
parents brought out a box full of old keys.

OK, here is my long long post. I know we have
been home a week and I am just now posting. So
here is what is going on. Dennis is half way done
with school. YEAH!! 18 more months to go. Since
we have been home I have been trying to make
curtains for Daniels room which is one reason why
I haven't posted. Daniel slept until 7am in Stockton,
get home and he is waking up at 5:30am. Why?? I
don't know. But I thought curtains will help. We put
them up and he started screaming about 3 times a
night. So it was too dark. We went to Ikea to buy
a light for his room and this morning he slept until
7am. I couldn't believe it. I hope it continues. Anyway,
I was excited. Here we go. I did collages because
its quicker to upload and its not done pretty because
again it would take too much time. I only have Daniels
nap time.
New Years Eve. Daniel did not make it.
Probably because I decided it would be better
to put him to bed then have a cranky baby but
the rest of us had fun.

Suzi wanted sushi before she went back to
Utah so we went out. I stuck with chicken but
Daniel had a little bit of squid. He took off the
breading but ate the meat. There's not much
that he won't eat.

My family has a Christmas eve party every year
we get together and chat, eat, the kids perform,
have a pinata, a slide show of previous years. An hour
before it started Daniel decided to get sick and pucked
on me. He love the sink. That's what made him happy.
Then as people showed up he did it again. I think I had
three different outfits. But the night was still fun.

I wanted to have our own family tradition so the
last couple years we have been making cookies for
Santa. Whoever is around we invite in the fun.
Unfortunately our cookies were eaten by ants before
Santa got them. Its a good thing we made extras.

Suzi also had the idea of doing a family nativity.
We went to her parents house with all the kids.
They had a blast. Suzi also made a slide show and
I forgot to copy it but it is cute.
12-22-2008

My mom does a movie night with some of the
grandkids to watch the Polar Express and drink
hot chocolate. This year she had all the grandkids.
So we made gingerbread christmas trees, made foam
cards and then watched the movie. They younger kids
had chocolate milk (Daniels first taste of the good stuff
and loved it), and the older kids had hot chocolate.
What fun!!
12-21-2008

We were hoping Christmas would have been put up
at my parents house by the time we got there. We
didn't not see the point in decorating our own house
since Daniel and I left on the 9th. But they waited.
We waited until Dennis came. Everyone help. I know
there is no proof I helped but take my word for it
I did.
12-20-2008

I helped my mom while she was at work to help
wrap presents. Daniel got a hold of one for Suzi and
decided to take a peek. At least it wasn't one of his.
I'm sure he will learn that soon enough.
12-18-2008

Daniel loved Gramps boots. Stinky. But I loved
how he was trying to lace it.
12-16-2008

Nana is so patient. Daniel and his cousin JD were
helping. At least in their eyes. They would take
out the silverware and put it on the top shelf. But
they did enjoy it.

12 14 2008 Nursery Time

Well its time for nursery. Yeah!! No more keeping
him quiet in Sunday School. He did not do too well.
He would not let me out of his sight. He did love
snack time. Hopefully he will love the whole thing
so I can go to classes.

12 09 2008 18 month appointment

I forgot to mention that Daniel
had his 18 month appointment.
He is doing very well. He is 27lbs which
is in th 60%tile. 34 in tall which is in
the 92%tile. His head I think was 49cm
which is in the 90 or 91%tile. He had two
shots and did not cry at all. I love it. He is
quite a talker and loves to be on the move.

12 13 2008 Creekside Ward Christmas Party

Daniel and I went to my parents Christmas party.
What fun it was. They have talented people
in their ward. Daniel loved the food and the lights.
He also made a friend.

12 05 2008 Monkeys

We bought a monkey backpack leash thing for
Daniel so he can walk around with us. He just
loves it. He was giving it hugs and kisses.

12 05 2008 Bo the Horse

Daniel just loves animals. He really loves the horse
at Grandma and Grandpa's house. He now calls all
horses Bo.
