06 19 2008 Fathers Day

So, I am a little late for Fathers Day. But we are so greatful for Dennis and all that he does for our family. Daniel and I worked together and made Dennis breakfast, dinner and dessert. And if anyone knows me, Dennis is lucky I cooked for him. We also got him a new Braves hat. His other one has shrunk. Happy belated Fathers day.

06 11 2008 Sleepy

Well, we have been out of town for 3 weeks. So there are a lot of post. Dennis got out of school and we took off so we could be back before summer school starts. Yeah!! One year down and two more to go. Its been a wonderful yet challenging year. We had a baby, move away from all family and started school. But it has been a wonderful year.
The family vacation was fun. We started by going to San Dimas to visit Dennis' side of the family. We were able to celebrate Dennis' birthday. Then we headed up to Stockton to visit my side of the family. We were able to be there for memorial day and a baby blessing in the family. Then we headed back to San Dimas on our way back. We were able to celebrate Daniel's and my birthday with family. It was wonderful.

I thought these pictures were funny. I try to keep Daniel up as late as possible from his nap so he will sleep longer. I finally gave up and decided to let him stay in his crib all night without me going in and giving him a bottle. Because of this, for whatever reason, he takes an earlier nap. He was awake and then all the sudden fell asleep about 10am by the couch. But as soon as I picked him up he woke up. He did take a 3 and a half hour nap. It was GREAT!!

06 10 2007 We Tried Again

Daniel disliked the cake so much on the 7th, we thought we would try again. We would have tried on his birthday but he was so tired he could not wait for his daddy to come home. So, we gave him another piece of cake on the 10th. He had the same reaction as the original cake. It looks like he enjoyed the cake but actually Dennis smushed the cake and put it all over Daniel. Notice the number one on his chest. I could not believe he didn't like the cake. Could this be my son. Oh well.
We also gave him his other present. Star Wars bath toys. This comes mostly from his Dad.

06 08 2008 Crusher

I thought these pictures were cute. We gave him the dinosaur for Daniel's birthday. We made him at Build a Bear. You get to name it and recieve a birth certificate. Dennis named him Crusher.

06 07 2008 Daniel's Birthday

Grandma, AJ, and Shane spent some time making Daniel his birthday cake. They did a wonderful job. To my suprise, they also made me a cake. Happy early birthday Daniel!! We love you. I can't believe its been a year already. What a wonderful and challenging year. But well worth it all.

06 07 2008 Swimming Again

Well, Daniel is so hot and cold. Today, he did not want anything to do with the pool. But I love the swimsuit. It looks like hes got a huge belly. Too cute. We bought it because he spent the day with grandma and just about jumped off the step. So we thought this may be safe. I think its funny.

06 04 2008 Rocking Chair

For Daniel's first birthday grandma painted Daniel a rocking chair. How awsome is this chair. She did an exellent job. We love it. Thanks Grandma!!

Daniel also stood up on his own in the middle of the floor today. I was so excited. He was on his knees and brought one leg forward and without his arms stood up. He then did it again a few minutes later. The rest of the day I carried my camera around but he has not done it since then. What a stinker.

05 30 2008 First Haircut

So, Dennis has been bugging me for months to get Daniel's haircut. It was driving Dennis crazy that Daniel's hair went over his ear. But me and my mom and my mother in law all said he didn't (while we were combing the hair so it is behind the ear and not on the ear). But I decided that he was turning one and it was time. What a difference it makes. He went from shaggy to a little man. He did so well, I was so proud. He didn't cry once but he also didn't hold still. He sat in a little airplane looking in a mirror.

05 27 2008 Cupcake

So, my dad was holding a hostess cupcake and Daniel reached over to touch it. I gave in and gave him one to see what he would do. I was hoping to get an idea how his birthday would go. And yes, on his tray he also has bananas. Once he got the cupcake, he didn't go near the bananas.

05 26 2008 Memorial Day

We were out visiting family and there is nothing like a great grandmother rocking their grandbaby to sleep. (she is not going to be happy I put this in but I thought it was precious)

For Memorial Day we had a wonderful BBQ at a friends house. It was a blast. They put a baby pool out for the little ones. Boy did they enjoy that and the adult boys also enjoyed the big pool.

05 22 2008 Big Mouth Billy Bass

I just thought these pictures were cute.























The video was taken of Daniel after about a half an hour or so. He did not like it at first. He tried running away from it. But we left it on the floor and played it over and over again. He finally came around.

So, Daniel was helping his grandma make Dennis his birthday cake. Grandma gave him his first taste of homemade frosting. I put all the pictures in because I thought they were funny.

05 18 2008 Pool Fun

So, Dennis was so excited to take Daniel into the pool he took him in as soon as we got to his Mom's. Daniel loves the pool. He was not a big fan of the cute car we bought him but he eventually came around (a couple days later). Daniel loved standing on the step.
